TUSCOLA: William Micheal Jackson, 69, passed away on Friday April 6,, 2018 at his house in Tuscola, with his family at his side at the time of his passing. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm at the Oak Street Church of Christ, Abilene. Directed by Fry~Smith Funeral Home, Tuscola. A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 8, from 5 to 7pm at the funeral home.
William was born on December 16, 1948 to Walter and Leona (Vinson) Jackson in Sampson, N.C. William was the classic military brat moving from one base to another with his father who was in the Air Force. While Walter was based at Dyess, William was able to attend Merkel High School, After high school he joined the Navy. William separated from the Navy in 1974 and returned to the Big Country.
He married the love of his life Sandra Lambert in Clyde on January 8, 1977. Where they raised four children. William spent most of his working career in the oilfield, he retired from Smith Pipe in 2015.
William loved to watch T.V. and could not pass up a good practical joke. His favorite shows where the walking dead, any horror movie and wrestling, it was a well-known fact that he would not let anyone leave thinking wrestling might be fake.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years Sandra Jackson of Tuscola; sons James Morris of Tuscola, William Korkuc and his wife Marijke; daughter Pamela Vincent and husband Rudy of Abilene, and Joanna Jackson of Tuscola.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
