Tammy Renee (Buchanan) Watson

June 17, 1971 — July 25, 2015

TUSCOLA: Tammy Rene Buchanan Watson, 44, passed away at a local medical facility in Abilene, after a long battle with depression. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at the Bradshaw Cemetery, Pastor Keith Jones, directed by Fry~Smith Funeral Home, Tuscola. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 28, from 6 to 8:00pm at the funeral home in Tuscola.

Tammy was born in Dallas on June 17, 1971 to Doyle and Patsy (James) Buchanan. She graduated from Bethel Temple High School and attended Hardin-Simmons, earning her master’s degree. She went to work with the State of Texas for Child Protection Services as a caseworker.

Tammy was known for her great sense of humor, caring personality, and love for helping children. She was always the fun Aunt that entertained the nieces and nephews. She was a member of the River of Life Church.

After several attempts, Tammy, was blessed with her daughter Allyson. When Allyson started school at Lawn Elementary, Tammy enjoyed watching her at the school activities and was often found in the crowd cheering her on.

She is survived by her daughter, Allyson Watson of Tuscola; father, Doyle Buchanan of Tuscola; brothers, Kennth Wayne Buchanan of Corsicana, Billy Micheal Buchanan of Abilene; sisters, Kathy Ann Jones of Parsons, KS and husband Keith, Kimberly Lynn Dubois of Buffalo Gap, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her mother Patsy Buchanan preceded her in death.
