Sonya Jean (Glaze) Warren

Sonya Jean (Glaze) Warren, 74, was called home to our Lord on July 4, 2023. She was surrounded by her family at the time of her passing. A graveside service will be held on Saturday July 8, 2023 at 9:00am at the Buffalo Gap Cemetery, directed by Fry-Smith Funeral Home, Tuscola. A visitation will be held on Friday, July 7th from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the funeral home.

Sonya was born in Abilene on June 22, 1949, where she grew up and attended Abilene High School. She met and married the love of her life, Robert James Warren, on December 11, 1964. Aside from managing her husband, children, and household, Sonya enjoyed working in her yard and planting flowers. She also took pleasure in reading, and not letting today's technology pass her by, she moved from books to her Kindle. She was a dearly beloved and revered wife, mother, and grandmother to her family who always referred to her as "Mimi". She was known for her "Mimi baskets", never forgetting a birthday, holiday, or special occasion.

Sonya is preceded in death by her parents, Cleo and Corine Glaze, brother David Glaze, and sister Kaye Nelson.

She is survived by her husband Robert James Warren; her children Gina and Glenn Brewer; Kimberly and Lee Howard; and Robert (Bobby) James Warren, Jr and Kim Warren; her beloved grandchildren Jessica and Justine Brewer, Samuel and Aaron Howard, and Kaylee Warren, as well as nephews and nieces.

She will be eternally loved, and never forgotten.
