TUSCOLA: Soila Sanchez, 83, beloved Mother, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on her wedding anniversary, February 5, 2018. She entered this world on July 3, 1934, in George West, TX, born to Jesus M. and Ascencion (Ybarra) Vidaurri.
Soila felt her calling was to care for people, from her family to the families of Tuscola, she was able to touch many lives.
Her passion was cooking the traditional hispanic holiday meal, her favorite was cooking tamales at Christmas.
She is survived by her brothers, Alejandro and Juan Vidaurri; sisters, Rosa (Ramon) Martinez, and Lupe (Freddie) Elizondo; sons Johnny (Jan) Sanchez, Erasmo (Anna) Sanchez; her grandchildren, Francisco Coy (Sarah) Sanchez, Erasmo Daniel (Amanda) Sanchez, Razmalea Sanchez, Elaina (Joseph) Gill, John Mason Sanchez; six great-grandchildren. Also, her beloved niece, Angie Santillan, and nephew, Martin Bentancur, as well as many more.
Soila is predeceased by her husband, Francisco (Frank) Sanchez, and a son, F. Daniel Sanchez.
A member of the Church of Christ, a memorial service will be held at her graveside in the Tuscola cemetery on February 17, 2018, at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Jim Ned Volunteer Fire Department.
