Sharron Gallagher, 66, beloved Daughter, Mother, Mother-In-Law, Grandmother, Sister, and friend to many, was called to her eternal resting place on August 21, 2023. She entered this world on September 5, 1956, in Odessa, TX, born to Dale and Billie Burns, both preceded her in death.
Tough-Stubborn-Frugal, she was raised in a rugged West-Texas environment that branded her with these traits and she held them close throughout her life. She loved to work hard. She had varying jobs throughout her life and was focused on making sure her children were taken care of before herself. She carried a CDL most of her adult life and used it to help establish Knox Waste Service.
She waitressed at several restaurants including Warfield Truck Stop in Midland-Odessa, Cliff House Restaurant in Stamford, and most recently Vickie's and Allsup's in Tuscola.
Sharron loved to cook for her family. When raising her children on a waitress's wage, she was able to make a meal out of almost nothing. She also loved to fish for catfish in the brown waters of Stamford Lake and the Brazos River.
She is survived by her son, Tim Gallagher and his wife Stephanie of Tuscola, their kids Alan and Adam Knox; her daughter, Maranda Gallagher of Thorndale; her brothers, Darrell, Bill, and Buddy Burns; her sisters, Patsy Womble and Becky Manning.
A visitation will be held at Fry-Smith Funeral Home in Tuscola, TX from 5 to 7pm on Thursday, August 24th.
A graveside service will be held at the Lueders Cemetery on CR 203, just south of Lueders, TX at 10 am on Friday, August 25th.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the First Baptist Church of Buffalo Gaps Youth Camps/DNOW or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
