Shannon Garrett

Shannon Rene Garrett went home to be with the Lord on Friday morning, December 6, 2024. A visitation will be held at Fry-Smith Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 10 from 5-7pm. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, December 28 at 2:00pm at First Baptist Church in Buffalo Gap.

Shannon was born on July 29, 1969 to Calvin and Tina Garrett in Odessa, Texas. She loved the outdoors and she loved Harleys. She got her motorcycle license and would ride for as long as she could. Shannon shared a flower shop in Buffalo Gap with her mom and making beautiful arrangements was her joy.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Buffalo Gap and she loved the Lord with all her heart. Her faith was strong and steadfast.

Shannon was a strong and fierce woman. She was tough to the core and she never gave up. She didn't know the word quit and she fought for over 30 years with grace and dignity. Her motto was "Never give up hope!"

Shannon is preceded in death by her three children Jessie, Patrick, and Payden, her father Calvin Garrett, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She is survived by her mother, Tina Garrett, sister Sherie Newman and husband Kevin, and brothers Wesley Garrett and wife Angie and Jeff Garrett and wife Lynn, and many nephews, neices, and cousins.
