Scott David Beaty

April 10, 1981 — November 10, 2023

Scott David Beaty, 42, of Abilene, TX, passed away on November 10, 2023, after a courageous battle with appendiceal cancer. Scott requested a party be held in his honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. We invite all his friends and family to join us at The Shed at 925 Buffalo Gap Rd, Abilene, TX 79606, on Saturday, November 18th at 6:00 pm for barbeque and remembrance.

Scott was born on April 10, 1981, to Kenny and Patsy Beaty in Sweetwater, TX but spent most of his life in Abilene. Scott went on to marry his high school sweetheart, Michelle, on June 17, 2005, after attending college together at Tarleton State University. They had one amazing daughter, Ella Beaty, who means the world to them.

Scott fought with pride and dignity to overcome the many challenges he faced in life. His perseverance and resilience to bounce back will leave a lasting impression on those closest to him. He showed his love through actions more often than words by always being there for anyone that needed him. He also enjoyed working with his hands, fast cars, hunting, and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Michelle McClure Beaty and daughter Ella Beaty of Abilene, TX; his parents Kenny and Patsy Beaty of Abilene, TX; his sister Andi and husband Jeff Goolsby of Lubbock, TX; and his maternal grandmother Laverne Lippe of Comanche, TX. Scott was also loved and adored by his aunts, an uncle, cousins, and nieces.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John and Mary Beaty and maternal grandfather D.A. Graves and step grandfather George Lippe.
