Ronald Gene "Cotton" Everett, 81, of Buffalo Gap, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, October 31, 2020.
He was born January 13, 1939, to Paul and Goldie (Lipscomb) Everett. He served in the Marine Corps as a sharp shooter and was a Vietnam Veteran. After being discharged from the military he worked for several years in law enforcement and then, after returning to Ballinger, he worked in the oilfield until he retired.
He loved to sit in the front office of his home, at the EZE Ranch, and watch the deer as they walked through his yard.
He married several times but the mother of his 3 daughters was Patricia Atwood, of Jackson, MI., and she survives him; along with 2 of his daughters; Mindy Everett, of Jackson, MI., Pamela Cornell of Toledo, OH., and his sister, Diana Jennings of San Angelo; his three grand children; Tyler Terrell of Palm Bay, Fl, William Thomas Chad Sligh, of Flint, Mi, and William Lyle Sligh, of Lebanon, Tennessee, 11 great-grand children and his neighbor and buddy Mike Box. He was preceded in death by his daughter Tricia Mari Everett and his brother Kenneth "Blackie" Everett; and both of his parents.
