Pauline Lettie (Justus) Flynn

ABILENE: Pauline Lettie (Justus) Flynn, 91, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at a local nursing center in Abilene. A memorial service will be held at 10:00am in the Baker Heights Church of Christ’s sanctuary on Saturday, January 16, 2015, Wes McAdams and Steve Smith officiating, directed by Fry~Smith Funeral Home, Tuscola.

Pauline was born in Fredrick, Oklahoma on December 18, 1924 to Robert and Lettie (Bennett) Justus. At the age of fourteen, Pauline’s father, Robert, loaded the families model T and  moved to California to escape the dust bowl of the 1930’s and to find employment during the great depression.

Pauline entered into real estate, listing and selling property in Apple Valley, California. She became a real estate broker, opening her own office, Vista Realty in Apple Valley. Upon her retirement, she and her daughter Jeanette moved to Abilene 1998, to be closer to her granddaughter

Pauline was one who did not like idle time on her hands. She hired on with Boarshead foods and became a company representative, for the next ten years she promoted Boarshead foods in United Supermarkets and HEB.

She was an active member of the Baker Heights Church of Christ.

She is survived by her son John Bosi and wife Kathy of Sequim, WA; daughters Jeanette Gastelum of Abilene, Pauli Flynn-Neff of Council Bluffs, IA, and one brother Richard Justus, five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
