Patrick Francis Voce

Patrick Francis Voce, Army Major (Ret), passed away at his home on September 24, 2019, at 6:21 in the evening. He was one day shy of his 74th birthday. Patrick was surrounded by his loving family and friends. A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm, Monday, September 30, 2019, at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery, Abilene. Services are directed by Fry~Smith Funeral Home, Tuscola.

He was born on September 25, 1945, to Joseph Francis and Frances Sarah (Zinicola) Voce in Utica, New York.

He has been a resident of Abilene Texas for 36 years after a long and distinguished military service. His career included service in Vietnam where he was severally wounded and received the Sliver Star and Purple Heart for his actions on the battle field.

He is survived by his loving wife: Judy K. Voce of Abilene; his sons Patrick Michael Voce and wife Laurie Voce of Lawn, Thomas D. Youngs and wife Andrea of Lawrenceville, Illinois and Kirby D. Youngs of Indianapolis, Indiana.; sisters, Lorrraine Dizmang and Teresa Kesler of Vancouver, Washington, Maria Mack of Bothell, Washington; and Rhoda Bryce-Webber of Phoenix, Arizona; and brother Richard Voce of Phoenix, Arizona. He is also survived by three grandchildren: Ian and Samantha Voce stationed at Nellis AFB in Las Vegas, Nevada, Carlie Voce attending Howard Payne University and Aiden Voce attending TSTC Abilene; and thirteen nieces and nephews.

Patrick was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Casey Voce.

As a loving husband, brother, father, and hero, we put his soul to rest in our Lord's hands.
