Nell Carlisle
October 24, 1932 — February 23, 2015
ABILENE: Susie Nell Carlisle, 82, passed from this life into the presence of her Savior Monday, February 23, 2015 at his home. A memorial service to honor Nell is scheduled for 11:00 am Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Baker Height’s Church of Christ, Wes McAdams officiating. Memorial service is directed by Fry~Smith Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Tuscola.
Nell was born October 24, 1932 in Meade County, Washington to Edward and Susie (Whelan) Eldridge.
Being a family oriented person she loved spending time with her family and taking care of them. Her main hobby was ceramics. She would create beautiful ceramic pieces for her family and friends. Nell and Charles enjoyed Sunday drives and studying the Bible nightly. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She leaves to cherish his memory, daughters Ruth Ann Hiler, Katherine Williams, Mary Jane Meador, and Barbara Carlisle, son Gary Lee Carlisle and wife Mary, 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 6 great great-grandchildren.
Nell was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 48 years, Charles Carlisle (dec. 2013), daughter Barbara (Bobbie) Williams, son Gary Lee (Willie) Williams, grandson Richard Simmons, and granddaughter Elizabeth Rickard.
The family of Charles wishes to thank Baker Heights Church of Christ for the many acts of kindness shown to us during her time of illness. The food, kind words and prayers were very much appreciated.
