Mary Catherine (Porter) Boozer

Mary Catherine Boozer, 92, passed into the loving arms of Jesus Saturday, September 5, 2015 in Abilene, Texas.
Mary was born July 31, 1923 to Robert and Dora (Patterson) Porter in Abilene.
She worked in various fields including the Timex Watch Factory, Lee’s Hat Shop, Hendrick Hospital Respiratory Therapy, and finally retired from the U.S. Postal Service.
Mary was known for her love for her family, who meant the world to her. A faithful Christian, she was a daily prayer warrior for her friends and family. The family always said she had a direct line to heaven.
Survivors include; one sister, Louise Thompson of Eugene, Oregon; her daughters, Annette Saverance and husband Sid of Abilene, and Lori Sims and husband Phil of Irving; her grandchildren, Paige Schmedemann and husband John of Boerne, Lee Wallace and husband Ricky of Abilene, Kyle Sims of Plano, Erin Sims of Irving, and Ashley Sims of Dallas; and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Boozer (dec. 1969), sisters Patricia Porter and Juanita Himpel.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Hendrick Hospice Service, 1682 Hickory Street, Abilene, Texas 79601.
