Luan (Lovelady) Meyer

March 2, 1934 — March 27, 2022

Luan Meyer, 88, went to her heavenly home on March 27, 2022. She was born in Dawson County, Texas on March 2, 1934.

Luan was the youngest child of Lee and Clyta Lovelady. She had worked several jobs over the years but was best known for managing Cowtown Boots for 14 years until it closed. She loved her children and grandchildren so much and was happiest when cooking for her family. She loved making dishes, like chicken and dumplings, chocolate delight, carrot cake, banana pudding, and the kids’ favorite, sugar toast. Until her last days, she still enjoyed the TV show, NCIS, playing dominos and the card game, UNO.

Luan was proceeded in death by her husband, Henry E. (Blackie) Meyer, her parents, Lee and Clyta Lovelady, three brothers, Leo, Elvis, and Gerald Lovelady, and two sisters, Lois Ferguson and Betty Cannon. She is survived by her daughter, Connie Meyer of Hawley, her sons, Rick and wife, Kim of Hawley, and Vic and wife, Zina of Nolan. She has nine grandkids, Brandi Jenkins and husband Donnell, Sandy Nguyen, Hailey Meyer, Kelsey Meyer, Cassidy Meyer, Sheroke Meyer, Matthew Meyer and wife, Shy Anne, Riley Meyer, and Elizabeth Meyer. Luan had six great grandchildren, Savanna Stephens and husband, Jay, Ivy Nguyen, Sky Nguyen, Chandlin Myers, Dixie Meyer, and one on the way. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She loved everyone and was loved by all. Her sweet memory will last forever
