Ira Ramsey

Ira "Boyd" Ramsey passed from this life on Sunday, April 14, 2024. A celebration of Boyd's life will be held at Fry-Smith Funeral Home in Tuscola, Texas on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 2:00 pm.

Boyd was born in Santa Anna, Texas to Jim and Inez Cameron Ramsey on October 27, 1944. Boyd was one of 18 kids, having three half brothers, four half sisters, five brothers, and five sisters.

Boyd married Beverly Hinshaw on June 29, 1964 and they have spent the last 60 years together raising 4 children.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Inez Ramsey, 3 half brothers, 3 half sisters, brothers Dean Ramsey, Donnie Ramsey, Bill Ramsey, Pete Ramsey, and Bobby Ramsey and sisters Joan Graves, Faye Hill, and Margaret Pierce.

Boyd is survived by his wife, Beverly, children Ira Ramsey and wife Stephanie of Denton, Texas, Eric Ramsey and wife Theresa of St. Jo, Texas, Lavon Seay and husband Tommy of Sanger, Texas, and Brian Ramsey and wife Amy of Crane, Texas, sisters Velma Poe of Richmond, Texas and LaRue George of Brownwood, Texas, half sister Jeanette Chew of Voca, Texas, ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Boyd was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
