BUFFALO GAP: Howard Preston Johnson, 65, passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2021. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 11 AM in the Buffalo Gap Cemetery, directed by Fry~Smith Funeral Home, Tuscola. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 21, from 5 to 7pm at the funeral home.
Howard was born to August 12, 1955 to Jack and Johnnie (Towers) Johnson in Marlen. At seventeen years old, he wanted to go to Vietnam and fight for his country, because he was not old enough to enlist, his parents had to sign for his enlistment. He served three years as a radio technician in the First Calvary of the Army.
Howard met the love of his life, Regena Haile in 1986. They truly became one and complement each other in everything they did.
Amongst his many gifts and talents Howard had, it was Pool Shooter was his one talent he was wildly known for, and not only was he an exceptionally good pool player, but he taught many people, young and old, the art of playing pool in the world of cue sports.
He is survived by his wife, Regena Johnson; son, Aaron Johnson; daughter, Diane; five grandchildren, Mandy, Destiny, A.J., Cody, and Faith; he is also survived by one great grandchild.
