Eufracia Vidaurri, 90, our beloved Mother passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2016. A funeral mass service will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi in Abilene, followed by a graveside service at the Tuscola Cemetery at 12:00 p.m. Services will be officiated by Father Braskar, and directed by Fry-Smith Funeral Home. A rosary will be held at 6:30 p.m., followed by a wake at 7:00 on Tuesday, December 27 at the funeral home in Tuscola.

Eufracia was born on March 13, 1926 to Alejos Vidaurri and Guadalupe Contreras in Karnes City, Texas. Eufraicia grew up in the San Antonio area where she helped work the family farm and attended local schools, where she met the love of her life Manuel Y. Vidaurri. They were married on September 17 1943. Shortly after getting married, the young couple traveled to fulfill Manuel's musical career. They eventually settled in south Taylor County until Manuel's death in 1991.

Eufracia was a mother to all, and was a very loving and humble person. She loved to sing and dance, laugh, and loved being surrounded by her family and friends. Her faith and family went hand in hand with one another and were always her top priority. She will be remembered by her good judge of character, and always opening up her home and heart to those in need.

She was a Guadalupana at St. Francis of Assisi in Abilene, Texas.

She is proceeded in death by parents, husband Manuel Y. Vidaurri (dec. 1991), her sons Leonardo Vidaurri, Manuel Vidaurri III, Domingo Vidaurri, and Oraceo Vidaurri.

She is survived by her son Baldemar Vidaurri of Abilene, daughter Janie Vasquez and husband Andrew of Abilene, Diana Ortega and husband Benny of Abilene, and Anna Vasquez of Irving. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
