Doris Evelyn (Belew) Reid

LAWN: On September 21, 2021, Doris Evelyn Belew Reid, Better known as Memaw, joined Mo (Verlon) in Heaven. At 94 years old, Memaw had lived her life to the fullest; From being an awesome water skier, farm hand, and a professional prickly pear eradicator.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at the Lakeview Cemetery in Winters, directed by Fry~Smith Funeral Home, Tuscola.

Doris was born in Bradshaw on June 15, 1927, to J.C. and Opal (Scott) Belew.

Survivors include her one and only daughter and best friend Sherry Saling and husband Frank; granddaughter, Heather DeFoor and Husband Kevin; and grandson Heath Saling and Crystal. She loved her child and grandchildren with all her heart, but even more so, her ten great grandchildren and five and half great great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Charlotte Robinson and husband Gayland and brother, Scotty Belew and wife Peggy.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Verlon Reid, her parents, and brothers James and Donus Belew.
