BUFFALO GAP: Donald (Donnie) Joe Allbritton, Jr., 55, passed away from pneumonia, Monday, May 25, 2015 at Hendrick ICU. A visitation/memorial service will be held on Thursday May 28, from 4 to 6pm, with the memorial service starting at 5:45, at Fry~Smith Funeral Home, Tuscola, Mark Moore officiating.
Donnie was born in Honolulu, Hawaii to Donald Joe and Mary Alice (Yeatman) Allbritton on August 19, 1959. His family moved to southern Taylor County where he attended the Jim Ned schools until his graduation in 1978 as a Jim Ned Indian.
Donnie worked in construction after high school, and then later became a truck driver. Driving all over the country and recently driving in the oil patch in the Midland- Odessa area.
He loved his kids and loved to laugh, when home you could find him watching NASCAR or the Dallas Cowboys. During the warm seasons, Donnie disappeared to the lake, boating and fishing or enjoying Harley Davidson Motorcycles.
He is survived by his father, Donald Joe (Joe) and wife Florence Allbritton of West Monroe, La; two daughters, Stephanie Dhalla and husband Shahveer of Arlington, Sara Allbritton of Arlington; sisters Debbie Gathers and husband Larry of Tuscola, DeLinda Tobar and husband Ruben of Wylie, Tx, Denise Allbritton of Buffalo Gap; aunt Mae Dean Griggs and husband John of Tuscola; and two grandsons Landon and Luke; and several nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his mother Mary Alice Allbritton (1987).
