Donna Renner

June 18, 1936 — June 24, 2016

TUSCOLA: Donna Ione (Weldon) Renner, 80, passed away Friday, June 24, 2016. Her family surrounded her at the time of her passing. A funeral service will be held on Monday June 27, 2016 at 11:00am in the First Baptist Church of Tuscola, Bro, De Wayne Bush officiating, directed by Fry-Smith Funeral Home, Tuscola.

Donna was born on June 18, 1936 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Lyle and Virginia (Huff) Weldon. She graduated from Battle Creek Central in 1954. She had a very successful career in sales for over 40 years. She lived in Union City, Michigan for many years and worked for ten years in Kalamazoo at Highland Appliance, which later became Highland Superstore based in Detroit.

During her career, Donna received many sales awards.

She transferred to Worcester, Massachusetts, as store manager, and then when that market closed she moved to Allen, Michigan where she opened a gift shop. Donna loved the warmer weather so she decided to move to Tuscola and retire from sales. She became a member of First Baptist Church of Tuscola where she loved to worship. She found that she missed being with people and decided to go back to work at Allsup’s for the next five years. She was known around town as the Allsup’s lady which she proudly accepted. She also worked at the Tuscola Café until it closed. She loved to cook, clean, and enjoyed everything she got involved in until her illness forced her to quit.

She leaves behind her children, Mark Renner and wife Mary, Deawn Renner Richards and husband Donald, Violet Renner, Robert Renner, and Bryce Renner and wife Angela, ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren, and many more relatives and friends that she adored.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents, sister, Marilyn Keithan, several Aunt’s and Uncle’s, sister in law Norma Weldon, and brother Dale Weldon.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Longley and the wonderful staff for the excellent care they gave her throughout the last few years of her illness. Donna expressed “deeply" how thankful she was for all of her dear friends that gave encouragement, fellowship, and inspiration. Her FAITH, FAMILY, and FRIENDS meant so much to her.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Rescue The Animals, 4620 N. 1st, Abilene, TX 79603
