Chris Shearin, 46 passed away on Friday, February 3, 2017. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the Buffalo Gap Baptist Church, officiated by Chuck Gililland and Doug Carpenter, directed by Fry~Smith Funeral Home, Tuscola.
Chris was born on Friday, August 7, 1970 in Denison, to David Shearin and Katie Ford Lewis. Chris attended Wylie Elementary and Whitefield High School in Colorado. He served for many years as a managers in restaurants and was a current computer programmer.
Chris married his wife Candy on March 14, 1989 in the Buffalo Gap Historic Village Chapel, they moved to South Carolina in the fall of 2002, were they then welcomed three children into their house hold. Chris was a dedicated father who cared deeply for his family and his two special needs boys. He was a supporter of the Special Olympics and the athletes.
Chris loved to hunt and fish, he was a master at finding and catching fish. He loved Star Trek and was Trekkie at heart, even naming his daughter after a charter in the franchise.
He is preceded in death by his sister Vanessa Stanley ('03), Brother Jamey Gregston ('98), and Uncle Junior Ford ('12).
Chris is survived by his mother Katie Lewis, wife, Candy Shearin; children, Anthony, Anton, Tara; aunts, Carol Roger, Pat Albus and husband Butch. And by his cousins and extended family.
