Bud Duncan

February 3, 1950 — January 20, 2017

Aubrey (Bud) Duncan, 66, beloved brother, son, father, grandfather, uncle and husband passed away suddenly at his home on January 20, 2017. He entered this world on February 3, 1950 in Abilene, born to Aubrey and Hazel Duncan.

Bud was an amazing man who loved his family, fishing, and working in the yard. He was selfless and insured his mother was taken care of, he and his dog, Duke, helped her in her daily routines without complaint.

Buddy served in the United States Marine Corps as a Corporal during the Vietnam War. He worked many tireless years in the Oilfield as well.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mickie Duncan (dec. 2008). He is survived by his mother Hazel Shoopman; sisters, Sherry Shoopman and Sonya Post; brother, Rod Duncan; brother-in-law, Sam Post; sons Mike and Chris Duncan; daughters-in-law, Gina and Christy Duncan; four grandson's, Michael Clayton, Cody, Zachary and Nathan Duncan; two granddaughters, Christa and Elaine Duncan; nieces, Joy Shoopman, BreAnna Bush, Jennifer Post, and Amber Reed.

A graveside service, with military honors, will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at the Texas State Veteran's Cemetery in Abilene, at 2:00 PM. A visitation will be Tuesday, January 24, from 5-7 PM at Fry~Smith Funeral Home in Tuscola. www.fry-smith.com
