Mom went to be with the angels on Friday, April 5, 2024. A visitation will be held at Fry-Smith Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 from 10am-12pm. A memorial service will be held the same day at 1:30pm at Fry-Smith Funeral Home followed by a burial in Tuscola Cemetery.

Born on July 10, 1926 in Abilene, Texas, to Steve and Penny (Whitehead) Seybold, Jean, as most folks called her, was a long time cashier at Gibson's Discount, TG&Y, and Mackeys Sporting Goods. She also spent time as a hairdresser.

Barbara Jean is survived by son bill Lawson and wife Kate of Jarrell, Tx; sister, Nell Martin of Point Blank, Tx; and daughter in law Sandra Holly of Colorado City, Tx.

Mom was prededed in death by her parents, Steven and Penny Seybold, brothers Bud and Royce, sister Sandy, sons, Stephen Holly and Doug Lawson.

Mom was a devoted mother and grandmother and will be missed by many friends.
