Anton's family moved to the Posey community in 1944, and he began driving a tractor at the age of 8 to help on the family farm which was between Lubbock and Slaton. Anton attended Lubbock-Cooper schools until his graduation from Lubbock-Cooper High School in 1959. In high school, he was in FFA and showed pigs. He was a four-year letterman in football, baseball, basketball, track and volleyball and won many class-voted awards.

He attended Lubbock Business School after high school while working at Furr's Supermarkets where he quickly became a manager. He was then hired as an accountant for Plains White Truck. After two years, he became a part owner of the dealership. Three years later, he became the sole owner and renamed it Lubbock White Truck. Two years after that, he expanded and opened a truck dealership in Amarillo, Texas as well.

In 1994, he moved to Abilene, Texas and started Central Express, a long-haul trucking company. In 1998, he opened Abilene Dozer Sales and began selling heavy equipment such as tractors and dozers. That same year, he bought his ranch in Ovalo, Texas, southwest of Tuscola, Texas which would become his forever home. In 2001, he moved his business to Tuscola and renamed it Tuscola Tractor Sales which he still ran until his death.

Anton loved horses, and his favorite hobby was horseracing. He raced quarter horses and thoroughbreds across the country for 58 years and won many big races. He still has horses in training today.

He has always been interested in the oil business and was involved in drilling over the years, beginning in Seymore, Texas in the 1980s. He opened Amble Petroleum Corporation in 2011 in Tuscola and has drilled many wells across the big country. He is still actively drilling wells today.

Anton was a Red Raider and a tremendous fan of Texas Tech sports. He was a donor to the Texas Tech Athletics Department beginning in 1968 and a season ticketholder in football, baseball, men's basketball and women's basketball for over 50 years. In more recent years, after moving to Abilene, he became a huge fan of Hardin Simmons University and cheered for the Cowboy basketball team from his courtside seats.

Family was the most important thing to Anton. He had a large family with 5 brothers and 6 sisters and loved to reminisce about his mother Anna and how much she meant to him. He was an amazing cook, just like his mother, and his speciality according to his grandchildren was homemade gravy. His grandchildren were his pride and joy, and when he was away from his office, he could be found at their sporting events or special days at school. He even enjoyed cheer competitions. He would always say that he was still working so hard into his 80s because of them.

Anton married Cindy Williams after high school and became a father to Kristy Kubacak. He married Mary McMillon on October 6, 1963. They were the parents of two daughters, Jennifer and Kelly Kubacak.
