Anne Marie Seybold, 78, went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 3, 2023, in Abilene. Born May 19, 1945, at Hendrick Hospital in Abilene, Anne was the fourth of five children to Warren Gossett and Pearl (Gossett) Rosson. She spent all her school years at Jim Ned.
Shortly after, she met the older brother, of some friends, who had just completed his service in the Army. On November 30, 1962, Anne and Lloyd Seabold were married in Abilene. They shared 35 years together until Lloyd's passing in 1998.
In 1978, Anne gave her heart to the Lord, and was baptized, at Elmcrest Baptist Church where she was a faithful member for many years. It was at Elmcrest Baptist Church that Anne began a lifetime of loving and caring for a countless number of children. For over 40 years, Anne dedicated her life to caring for children as a state licensed childcare provider.
As her children were growing up, Anne spent countless summer days at the baseball field where she could always be found cheering for Jeff and his teammates.
Anne deeply loved her family and friends and always enjoyed being with them. Times spent at Lake Brownwood created some of the very best memories of all. Whether she was caring for children, loving on her family and friends, playing BINGO, or just enjoying a good cup of coffee with Caitlynn, Anne never failed to make you smile with her spunky and (most often) sassy sense of humor.
Anne is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd; brother, Dayne Gossett; and sisters, Frances Reardon, and Jo Lynn Strakos.
She is survived by her son, Jeff, of Abilene; daughter, Melissa Mitchell, of Abilene; sister, Jean (S.J.) Parker, of Abilene; granddaughter, Caitlynn Mitchell, of Abilene; grandson, Cameron (Zona) Mitchell, of Lubbock; as well a host of extended family and friends.
